Abbey Catholic Primary School Birmingham

The Abbey Catholic School purchased a 'Playtrail' for their pupils in recognition of the school's 100th anniversary.

We came into contact with Martell as we were almost about to choose another supplier and it was fortuitous that we did.
Martell invested an enormous amount and time and energy into our project - they worked with us very closely and advised us through every stage. As we had already spent a considerable amount of time researching the play equipment and had decided exactly what we wanted, Martell were able to be very flexible and competitive.
The 'Playtrail' was handmade by Martell's craftsmen using very high quality materials and the turnaround was most impressive - less than two months from first point of contact. The installation took place during half term - the friendly workmen arrived Promptly and the 'Playtrail' went in well before the end of the third working day.

The children love the 'playtrail' and we have received compliments from the parents and visitors to the school.
Not only would we have no hesitation in recommending Martell Play and Leisure, we would very much hope to be able to work with them again in the future.

Martell Play and Leisure were the contractors that provided my school with an extensive outdoor classroom during summer 2004. The project was very well managed throughout by Martin Harris and his team and the quality of work on completion is very good.

The duration of the project was agreed to take four weeks. The programme of works was checked daily by a city council project manager. The company achieved their daily targets and the project was completed on time.

The costings agreed at the beginning were the final costs.

The quality of the fencing, canopy and accessories are very good and hardwearing, appropriately treated and aesthetically pleasing.

The Company were mindful of any health and safety issues and provided the necessary protective measures as and when they were required. Therefore this meant that I had no concerns about the risks to the safety of the children.

Effective communication was achieved through daily contact with a project manager and through personal contact from Martin Harris and his colleagues.

Due to their effective communication, customer care was excellent. Any queries that I had throughout the project were dealt with immediately. Those defects that were identified after completion were corrected efficiently and in a professional manner. I was also delighted to see Martin and some of his colleagues attend our opening ceremony.

Based on my experience of working with Martell Play and Leisure in my school, I would not hesitate to employ the company again or recommend them to others.

Martell Play and Leisure recently carried out some fencing work here at Aldermoor Farm Primary School, Coventry. This is not the first contract You have done for us, you have worked here before. The reason for this email is that I would like to comment on the overall standard of your work.

As last time, the quality of your work is excellent. We were delighted with the fencing you erected for us in the past and we were equally Delighted with the latest work. A thoroughly professional and attractive job.

Secondly, I would like to inform you that your workmen were absolutely brilliant when on site. They were aware of children.s movements and Timings re: play and lunchtime and were friendly and cheerful when bombarded by the obvious questions coming from young inquisitive minds. Although I spoke to the workmen on site about this, please pass on my thanks for their super attitude.

Can I finish by saying that I will have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending your company to anyone who wants this kind of work doing in the future.

Heath Mount School Birmingham

I am writing in response to work Martell Play and Leisure and associated contractors have carried out at our Primary School.

The quality of workmanship has been first class. The team, understanding that the levels of noise during the work was at times a little noisy, arrived at the school very early every morning to get the noisy work done before school starts. Then they worked to the school timetable of when the children were outside and not doing particular pieces of work during these times.

When the children were outside the team were brilliant with the children. The children were naturally inquisitive about what was being done and why and the workmen spoke with the children, explaining what they were doing in a friendly way. Several members of the school staff have noticed this and it is a huge compliment to the company.

Overall I am very impressed with the company. I have no hesitation in recommending them to other schools in the future. From beginning to end they have been professional, approachable and hard working.
